Review of The Stepford Wives (2004) by Matt M — 29 Dec 2013
Remake of a 1975 film adaptation, this time the story of a perfect town where women become submissive and create the 1950's image of a happy family. The whole thing doesn't work, it feels to unnatural a story to be made in the 21st century.
The dark aspect of the comedy can actually either be unnecessarily offensive as much as they can be disappointingly ridiculous.
