Review of The Stepfather (1987) by Buddy K — 28 Mar 2010
Unique amongst 80's slashers in its grounding in reality and the killer being a well drawn protagonist. This film is probably most interesting to fans of Terry O'Quinn on Lost that might want to see some of his older work.
In fact O'Quinn's performance is the best thing about the film and hell you even want this awful killer to actually get away with it which is really a testament to his acting. However, the last acted gets pretty cliched and the ending is run of the mill.
So in other words, a must for Terry O'Quinn fans but not much here for anybody else.
