This movie is more morbid and scary than the new version but the new one is more believable as to why they would think he might be the sought after killer. Both versions are excellent and I can't pick a favorite as both have their own strengths and weaknesses. If you have seen the new version you owe it to yourself to see the original. There is a scary quality about films of this type from the 70's and 80's that can't be topped!
