Review of The Station Agent (2003) by Victor D — 17 May 2008
An endearing low key indie film that knocked me sideways from the unexpected devotion the material puts upon this weird, rag tag band of misfits. They all share secret pains and hopes but because of a shaky start by the lead character we watch with anticipation of how these people will eventually end up being the most important thing they all need in common which is a friend.
My fave character is the young, chubby little african american girl that follows Dinklage around asking really mundane questions.
