Review of The Station Agent (2003) by Ben D — 25 May 2008
If it is true that in Waiting for Godot "Nothing happens, twice" then in The Station Agent nothing happens, several times but it is a film worth watching. It's a sweet, uplifting film that aims to highlight social inequality of people with a physical handicap and the best thing about it is that it avoids sentimentality while doing it.
The "trainspotting" theme just cracked me up. It passes by very quickly and is presented like a slice of life that you can go back to and rewatch over and over again. All 3 main actors are superb.
