Review of The Station Agent (2003) by Dylan B — 03 Sep 2008
A good character-study film about an anti-social dwarf who lives at an old train station house and meets a number of eccentric characters who gravitate towards him. There aren't any real conclusions in this film, which is a relief given the severity of the subject matter involved with some of the character's story.
Peter Dincklage is great in the role of the staight-man whom everyone else plays off of, and gives a very believable performance. The Station Agent is good for what it is, but it's a slow ride from start to finish.
