Review of The Station Agent (2003) by Mark L — 15 Aug 2011
Probably the only movie you'll find with a dwarf protagonist that isn't an inane comedy. Personal favorite Thomas McCarthy's simply-written but decently touching screenplay produces some pretty likable characters, most of all a chatty Cuban hot dog vendor played by Bobby Cannavale.
The main three performances are memorable, although Patricia Clarkson's character gets pretty close to stereotypical at times. B+.
