Review of The Station Agent (2003) by Anna B — 10 Apr 2011
It's nice to see how a conventional story structure can be enlivened by a good writer/director. The central character arc could have been such a cliché, but McCarthy pitches it just right, so that when his shell finally starts to crack, you really feel it, and it's very rewarding.
I suppose Dinklage's wonderfully expressive face helps a little bit too.
