It's certainly bad, but not the canon-raping trainwreck many "Star Wars" fans might have you believe. Parts of the prequels are just as bad as this, and nothing in the "Holiday Special" can top the atrocity that is Jake Lloyd's acting in "The Phantom Menace.".
Had the plot been tightened up, the songs and sub-plots edited down, and the dreadful cartoon excised entirely, this could have been a respectable little piece of yuletide fluff.
