Review of The Star Wars Holiday Special (1978) by Simon H — 17 Oct 2007
Worth watching at least once to understand how mind-bendingly awful it truly is. The only redeeming feature is the rather neat Boba Fett cartoon (his first appearance IIRC). The rest of it consists of a Cewbacca family get-together (minutes of growls and grunts with no subtitles), Carrie Fisher's (allegedly) drug-addled singing and tripping over scenery, a show-stopping turn from Bea Arthur.
And Jefferson Starship turning up to promote their latest single! It truly beggars belief.
