Review of The Star Wars Holiday Special (1978) by Patrick S — 26 Dec 2009

Hmmm, well after my belief that people only bash the Star Wars prequel to be cool I decided to turn my attention to the Holiday Special to see if it was really that bad. I gave up hope when everyone hates it, including George Lucas and you know what? Those people are right to bash it, it does suck a lot. It's boring, it's never funny, the real Star Wars characters are barely in it and the singing....oh God, the singing.

However, I do think that people only praise the animated section to be cool. Sure it has Boba Fett who rides a dinosaur and makes a hell of an entrance but the segment itself is poorly animated with lazy backgrounds, dull coloring, horrible character models and Han Solo suffering from a severe case of Youngblood's disease. You know that disease where nobody can open their eyes.
