Here's the deal. It's the story of the Christian nativity story from the Bible. If this offends you or you don't like that aspect of Christmas, than this movie is not for you. My assumption is that any negative reviews are from people who don't like this particular story.
If you enjoy that aspect of Christmas, than this is a fun animated adventure of what "could have happened" behind the scenes. I generally NEVER like faith-based movies as they're usually really preachy or cheesy, but my whole family really enjoyed this one.
