Review of The Stanford Prison Experiment (2015) by John K — 07 Aug 2015
While the film is chilling and offers an accurate view inside Zimbardo's Stanford Prison Experiment, flaws-and-all, there isn't much depth behind the depravity. We see the depths with which humanity can fall to when pushed, however, we get little insight into the mind of Zimbardo himself and what he was trying to accomplish and we get very few details regarding the background of the prisoners themselves.
The shining star of the film is the acting as there are all-around great performances from the young actors in this film, including indie mainstays such as Ezra Miller, Tye Sheridan, Michael Angarano, and Thomas Mann.
