Review of The Stanford Prison Experiment (2015) by Krysia K — 14 Aug 2015
Historical inaccuracies aside, The Stanford Prison Experiment takes an interesting look at the inhuman study. Not from an angle of criticism, but from the perspective of Dr. Zimbardo, as he struggled to comes to terms with what he was doing.
The film drags a little at the end, but overall it is thrilling, and thought-provoking. One moment you feel the submission and pain that the prisoners experienced, and the next you understand the rush of power and control that overcame the guards, and you begin to wonder how you would've handled being in their shoes.
