Review of The Squid and the Whale (2005) by Gustav L — 03 Jan 2009
Well acted ensemble piece about a family going through a divorce. While I am not to sure about the style (wonky handheld and varying sound levels every other shot), I do think the script, direction, and cast really made this piece happen.
Plus this is further proof that Jeff Daniels is one of the most criminally underused actors in Hollywood.
