Review of The Square (2008) by Adrian M — 05 Sep 2010
The Square is a solid thriller that has the bleak, twisting plot reminiscent of film-noir in a gritty modern day Australian setting. None of the characters are particularly likeable - especially not Ray, the sour-faced main character.
There's some respectable film-making considering it's the first feature film from the writer and director, but I didn't find it especially fun or brilliant.
