Review of The Spy Who Dumped Me (2018) by Frédéric H — 16 Aug 2018
What could have been a slightly entertaining adult comedic spy movie was lost on me with the overuse of profane language. I will never understand why writers and movie companies think that you need to use all those 'f' bombs in a movie. I am by no means a prude, but movies like this and The Spy Movie (which was much funnier and had a way better plot and cast than The Spy Who Dumped Me) would be even funnier and more entertaining if they didn't saturate them in so much vulgarity that the audiance is turned off.
McKinnon was humorous, but the two leads didn't mesh well for me. Kunis and her boyfried Thoreaux did NOT go well together, there was no chemistry and the flashback to the night they met was pointless if they weren't going to build upon them having chemistry throughout the year. It was just wasted time filler.
2 hours of my life I will never get back, wasted.
