Review of The Spy Who Dumped Me (2018) by Thewaffle — 15 Aug 2018

Surprisingly good action scenes, hit and miss comedy, lackluster plot. There were several amazing stunts in this film, executed better than any of the Bourne Identity shaky-camera junk. Unfortunately, the solid spy action is wasted on a totally boilerplate story, and the action rarely has much plot motivation behind it.

The comedy see-saws from laugh-out-loud to groan-inducing. The production quality is also inconsistent, with some high quality fight scenes spliced in between awkward cut-aways where Kunis and Mckinnon are clearly filmed during a different shoot.
