Review of The Spy Who Dumped Me (2018) by Charlotte M — 07 Aug 2018
This film is extraordinary, and not a single critic, whether they liked it or not, understands the brilliant mash-up of genres and the social critique writer-director Susanna Fogel has offered. The style knows exactly what it's doing, and if you're just watching the film and not worrying about whether it's "this or it's that," you will enjoy the hell out of it.
It's sly, it's smart, it's ridiculous, and it's suspenseful. Why not all of those in one movie? It's the most refreshing film I've seen in a long time. The women leads make it all the more of a joy to watch!
