Review of The Spy Next Door (2010) by April A — 25 May 2010
Have you ever started a movie and known right away it was going to be a long one? Yeah....that's what this one is. Is it even worth going into why? Is it the idea that George Lopez and Billy Ray Cyrus being Jackie Chan's friends? Oh don't worry, they're full of jokes.
Hopefully you didn't want good ones. Maybe it's Jackie Chan, who still struggles with English, somehow dating an attractive blonde? Is it she says they can't get serious unless her kids like him? Really? Do kids like people trying to replace their parents? Is that popular now? However, thanks to the miracle of Hollywood magic, Jackie Chan eventually befriends the children thanks to his various techniques: a heart to heart chat, helping with girl problems, and picking up a dress.
Sorry if it seems harsh, but we all have a right to our opinion, especially those of us who actually PAY to watch movies. (That's a wink to all those DOUCHEBAG bootleggers). Anyway, if you were asking me what to watch tonight, this is not one I would ever mention.
