Review of The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie (2004) by Tom M — 17 Feb 2015
This movie is absolutely incredible! This movie still makes my eyes watery, and I may even cry. The plot in the movie is King Neptune's crown was stolen and plankton stole it, but he blamed it on Mr.
Krabs. King Neptune found out and froze Mr. Krabs. So to get back Neptune's crown, Spongebob and Patrick go on a journey to Shell City and return it back to the Krusty Crab. Plankton however got the Krabby Patty's secret formula and used it in the Chum Bucket.
Then he gives everyone helmets, like as one of those toys from a kids meal. Then with the flip of a switch they become mind control helmets and everyone in bikini bottom has one. The biggest sub-plot in this movie however is Spongebob and Patrick's quest to manhood.
Everyone said that they couldn't do it because they were kids. So they wanted to prove that they were men. But at the end of the movie Spongebob and Patrick realize that it's good to be a kid and that's what they are, kids.
This movie has it all. It's one of the funniest movies I've ever seen, it has some really good songs, and for a children's movie and for all movies ever it has some absolutely great drama.
This is one of the best movies I've ever seen, and you should love it too.
