What can I say? you really have to take a movie like this in context for what kind of movie it intended to be. Was this movie an Oscar Bait film for Best Animated feature? no. was it intended to be a really well made film that intellectuals raved about? no.
it was simply a movie to take your 7 year old kid to for them to enjoy. it had some cultural references for adults so that they could enjoy the movie as well (David Hasselhof). it was what it was intended to be.
that's all. were there moments that were really dumb? yep. but overall it was an entertaining movie.
