Review of The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water (2015) by Alex K — 20 Jun 2015

Felt like a TV movie rather than a meaningful movie going experience. The storyline was bland and really, kind of dumb, even for a kid. It just went overboard, no pun intended. They rehash so many elements from the past installment and from the series that I feel like they lost all their creativity.

Some scenes were hilarious but many others felt too "forced". "SpongeBob: Sponge out of Water" or whatever it's called is a disappointing project that will let down many old and current fans alike.

It's nothing special or engaging. It's just a 90 minute long episode that could have been watched on TV. Definitely felt like a cash grab...
