Review of The Spirit (2008) by Tamara S — 12 Sep 2010

As a comic book film, in some ways I think this does work. It is a bit far-fetched, but then that's what it's about. It's a different way of doing this kind of film, making it a bit more funny and ridiculous, which in some cases is what superheroes and villains are all about!

I can understand why people would say it's awful, but sometimes you need to be that bit more open minded to allow yourself to enjoy a film.

I personally really liked it, though I though at times it was a bit too much like Sin City, though I thought all the actors were awesome and it was funny and just a good comic film to watch. It's as if they skipped the comic and made the film straight away.

I don't think this film is terrible at all, it's just different to how people thought it would be, but I like it for that.
