Review of The Spirit (2008) by Harry P — 25 May 2011
This movie is just plain fun. The main problem is that its tone is inconsistent. Sometimes it's deadly serious, sometimes it's as campy and stupid as can be. It's written like a 1940s comic book.
..which is what it's based on, so it works. Plus, it's really cool to look at. Samuel L. Jackson is hilarious as the villain.
