Review of The Spirit (2008) by Sol C — 22 May 2010
The trailers for the film look really good, but the film itself, disappoints. The film is well cast and has an incredible look to it, however the weakness is the story. The film needed a major rewrite.
That is the similar problem that films like 300 and Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow had in my opinion. Only Sin City had it all, great look, great cast, and a great script. My final opinion for this film, skip The Spirit and watch Sin City instead.
