Review of The Spirit (1987) by Reg A — 06 Feb 2010
The comic look was clever but it didn't let you get close to the characters, you didn't warm to them as much as if it were a live action. The Samuel L. Jackson was trying to be funny but was actually stupid and the Patos characters were annoying and stupid, Scarlett is a good actress but didn't suit her role, Eva Mendes was Ok and so was The Spirit.
The only bit I liked were the flashbacks of the spirit with Sand. There were a few smiles and some parts of the story wasn't that bad. But on the whole...a flop.
