Review of The Spirit (1987) by Travis B — 15 Jun 2010
Visually, it's Frank Miller at his very best. But open up the pretty packaging and... oh, there's nothing inside. The word "hollow" best describes this film. There's really no point to the plot or the characters.
Sure Samuel L. Jackson and Scarlett Johansen will make you chuckle, but they're offset by The Spirit and Eva Mendes being totally stupid. Some really ridiculous and corny dialogue doesn't help either.
