Review of The Spirit (1987) by Walter A — 11 Apr 2011
As a massive, life-long Spirit fan this disappointed in every way. How Miller could fuck this up so badly, I don't know. If anything, one would think he would be able to do Eisner proud. Instead, he attempted to add to the long list of generic Hollywood superhero films, and even that went horribly wrong.
It's visually appealing, but that's about the only positive thing I have to say about it.
