Well made adaption of the second book. The problem is however that the major changes to the first novel when it appeared as Ringu in cinemas caused a major problem with the story. Characters from Ringu do things completly out of character for the film series but not for the book.
Very confusing for viewers. It was released after Ringu and failed because it wasn't horror it was a mild sci-fi movie. Producers instead ignored it and made Ringu 2.
