Review of The Spiderwick Chronicles (2008) by Alanna B — 11 Jan 2012
While I had become aware of the Narnia Chronicles during my many years of living in London - I had never heard of the Spiderwick Chronicles. I subsequently found out that this movie incorporates the entire series and perceived it as very well done, indeed.
The storyline is well fleshed out and understandable with great performances particularly by Freddie Highmore - yet another young actor with a very bright future indeed. Loved the cameo of Andrew McCarthy as the absentee daddy - it tickled me pink .
