Review of The Spiderwick Chronicles (2008) by Clayton R — 06 May 2012
It has many things which set it aside from most kids advebtures today, such as a more heartfelt and truthful moral, great special effects and surpringly good actors and reasoning. Even so, it still suffers with typical problems of childrens films, including an over-explanitory adapted script leading to rough pacing, fast dialogue and characters hard to believe, as well as a questionable score.
