Review of The Spiderwick Chronicles (2008) by Kiki L — 05 Apr 2013

While family enjoyed this movie. I usually am not fond of movies with kids in the lead roles, much less emo whiney kids, but this was really well done. I enjoy the mystical ethos of it, the casting was spot on, acting was fine, story good with decent pacing, and the production was excellent. I've been watching a lot of moves this past week; I'm say overload, so my mood is pretty hard to please and I've not been feeling well and I nit only did I still really enjoy this, it was perfect to help me take my mind off how I feel. Perfect!

Note: the end can be a little scary for little kids. My little guy needed a small break during the finale and then returned to finish watching it much closer to me than he started. :).
