Review of The Spectacular Now (2013) by Tyler S — 21 Jan 2014
It perfectly captures almost summer feeling towards the end of a school year and the anxiety that comes to know all going to be over soon. James Ponsoldt also portray this coming-of-age drama in the theme of alcoholism and co-dependance.
The Spectacular Now does not spare the audience with messy details, these characters hurt each other and they hurt themselves, but they are not mean people, they are lost and they are easy to root for and love.
