Review of The Spectacular Now (2013) by Katie B — 26 Apr 2015

I LOVED this film! Slowly, the Teeny-Boppers of our day are starting to shine their light over their predecessor A-list stars and star-lettes. It was refreshingly original and timely, with a beautifully written script and very naturally performed by Shailene Woodley and Miles. These two have been seen acting together in previous films and seem to come together in a mix and match sort of package deal apparently! Eg Fault in our stars, Divergent series...etc. I am really becoming a huge fan of Miss Woodley, as she really has a very natural and compelling talent about her.

A very lovely coming of age story, from a slightly different angle, without the farcical force fed Hollywood tripe ending (and if that's your thing, please go watch some mediocre stereotyped Rom com instead, which this is not). Amazing :).
