Oh David Mamet, your dialog is so up itself, and your wife is a truly horrendous actress. Your plot is pretty memorizing, if you'd only gotten out of it's way. This is a problem you often have when you go to write the movies.
You were well served to cast Campbell Scott and Steve Martin. They accommodated your acting commands without looking as ridiculous as almost everyone else in this movie.
