Review of The Space Between Us (2017) by James E — 04 Feb 2017

This movie is not really a teen romance movie. I think that is how it was marketed, but it is so much more. The movie is actually about a young boy finding himself. In the process he helps a young girl find herself.

I don't want to give away the end, but I left with a clear impression that these two would see each other again. Maybe they would be friends, maybe more, but they still had a chance at a future together.

There is so much going on that most reviewers seemed to have missed. The relationship between the two kids is almost an after thought. It's a means to an end. The real plot is in each of them finding their place in the universe.
