Unabashedly schmaltzy and corny, and damn it, it works. Even though it's saccharine beyond belief, it's consistently so, and it doesn't apologize for it. It's breezes along its 3 hour running time, and I'm still a sucker for those cheery little songs.
I love this movie. I may not be cool or hip for loving it, but I do.
