Review of The Sound of Music (1965) by Raji K — 16 May 2015
The Sound of Music is one of the most iconic movies and history and rightfully so. Featuring one of the best soundtracks ever on film, the songs are still known and song 50 years later. Julie Andrews is Maria who is lost and feels the covenant is her only way of life.
Christopher Plummer is lost with the lose of his wife and forgotten the important parts of life. Only through the power of music do these two find their way and to each other. Set in the dark aura of the verge of Nazi power, the family is tested and this compelling film stands the test of time.
