Review of The Sound of Music (1965) by James H — 21 Mar 2016
What a pleasant surprise this was! Coming from the school of "me man, me like gigantic guns, girls and fast cars," I was taken by the immaculate cinematography, incredible writing and the fact that a family film can actually work as high end cinema and doesn't have to clutter up the frame with CG nonsense to be engaging for 3 hours.
The Sound of Music is a treat for everyone and it doesn't need ninjas, zombies and robots to be that way. 99/100 A+.
