Nicholas Cage is what saves "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" from being a disaster. His character, Balthazar, is well portrayed. The problem with this film is that the magic doesn't seem like "Harry Potter".
It's more like machine-generated and doesn't have the craft and style like "Harry Potter".
