Decent effects, though there's little rhyme or reason to how different spells are done compared to any other spell. Better than I thought it would be, and Nick Cage's generally one-note acting sort of worked for the role.
Hay Baruchel's character was pretty annoying, but, then I guess he was supposed to be. Not a bad movie, but not one I see myself watching again. Oh, and I did like the Sorcerer's Apprentice bit from Fantasia being played out.
