Review of The Sorcerer's Apprentice (2010) by Saban E — 03 Oct 2011
I'd heard some pretty terrible things about this but I'm a big fan of Nicolas Cage despite some of his film choices. It does start off pretty dreadful and I nearly gave up. Stick with it though and it gets better.
It's got great special effects and some good music. As it was made as a kids film it can be fairly tame in places and it could have really worked in a mature Gothic version. Overall better than I was expecting but not fantastic, younger audiences will probably like it though.
