I've watched this movie several times and it seems to be a favorite of my kids. It's not the best Nick Cage movie but he does well enough. There's magic and fantastic scenes, which I think appeals mostly to the kids, but it's good enough to hold an adults' attention.
It does get a little lengthy in parts but overall holds together to the end. I did enjoy that they left it open at the end maybe eluding to a follow up. I'd like to see where they take it if that is in the works.
