Review of The Sorcerer's Apprentice (2010) by Jim S — 23 Sep 2013
The Sorcerer's Apprentice - directed by Jon Turteltaub and produced by renowned producer Jerry Bruckheimer, film was distributed by Walt Disney. Starring Nicolas Cage, Alfred Molina, Jay Baruchel and Alice Krige.
Cage is Balthazar Blake a sorcerer in NYC he is battling with power-hungry Horvath (Alfred Molina) - while also on a hunt to locate true magician for centuries, until he collides with Dave (Jay Baruchel) who is trying his best to woo his childhood sweetheart.
Good movie, excellent CGI work - filled with amazing humor. Acting is fairly good but sometime it does feel like something naïve is going on with Jay especially during tense situations. I liked the frequent encounters between Balthazar and Horvath, every-time they engage there is kind of fun and exhilaration to enjoy. I think I pretty much juiced it up.
