This is one of jones' towering achievements! I cannot get through easter sunday weekend without watching this film. if I have to miss, I don't know how to act that day. trust me. I missed it this year and it bugged me to no end.
it's not so much that it's a reverential experience. it's about having faith in yourself against a cynical world. it is a handsomely mounted and almost perfect hollywood film.
