This movie is comfort food for me. Jennifer Jones is perfectly cast, and the actors are generally good to great: Lee J Cobb, Charles Bickford, Vincent Price, Gladys Cooper. Drawback: the Lady is a bit too "Glinda-the-Good" and goofy.
Overall a strong, moving film with its heart in the right place.
