Joe Wright is officially one of our most underrated and most consistent directors, making it three-for-three with yet another outstanding film. Its reception from the critical establishment (and no longer being employed by a news outlet, I use that term with scorn) is baffling; THE SOLOIST is wonderful, classical entertainment that is expertly filmed, wonderfully acted and exceptionally moving.
