Review of The Social Network (2010) by Neal A — 11 Feb 2013
Alright, let me just give a quick run down of why this movie is so good since by now most people have been singing its praises for days, and you can find a much more comprehensive review of why this film is so good on just about any news site.
It's simple. Film is a collaboration of so many different specialties, but with The Social Network the combination of Aaron Sorkin's writing/dialogue, David Fincher's visually rich and striking direction, and Trent Reznor's seemless and moving musical score; you get a fantastically entertaining picture.
Had those things misfired in any way The Social Network could've wound up being unbelievably boring. Story wise; nothing happens, but the driving force of the film is the pacing, dialogue, and direction.
Before you know it the credits are rolling, and you walk out of the theater marveled that you just saw something fresh and profound.
