Review of The Social Network (2010) by Sam D — 19 Jun 2013
David Fincher's smooth drama about the creation of Facebook is extremely detailed, witty and utterly absorbing. The Social Network offers up a great cast, led by Jesse Eisenberg, who characteristically delivers.
Andrew Garfield and Rooney Mara enhance the supporting cast well and even Justin Timberlake delivers nicely. The great screenplay is well structured and reinforced by the incredible true story. FIncher's smooth direction allows all cast members to shine and makes the story both entertaining and informative.
The scoring enhances the sound direction also. Although it may appear rather blunt on the outside, it has scores of subtle undertones and lessons to be discovered. Only those completely uncultured won't find themselves constantly entertained.
